Home cleaning FAQ
There are three ways to order your cleaning: through an online form, by e-mail to info@washup.fi, or by calling us at 044 040 9449. You will need to provide the following information: your preferred cleaning day and time, how often you would like the cleaning to be done, your address, and how many meters squared you have.
Our customer service is open weekdays, 9-16.
Our service is available Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. If you need a home cleaning service outside these hours, you can check our availability and prices with our customer service by e-mail to info@washup.fi, or by calling us at 044 040 9449..
You can reschedule your booked cleaning shift free of charge 2 working days before the scheduled shift. Since we must pay our staff in cases like this, we will charge a late cancellation fee of 20% of the agreed cleaning rate.
You can cancel booked cleaning shifts free of charge 3 working days before the scheduled cleaning shift. A late cancellation fee of 50% of the service price will be charged, as we also pay our staff in cases like this.

Our cleaners speak mainly English. And they will get all the agreed details and information relevant to your cleaning in advance, so you don’t have to worry about a possible lack of a common language.
However, if you need help communicating with the cleaning professional during the cleaning process, please do not hesitate to contact our customer service, which is always available in English and Finnish.
Pets are not a problem! Please let our customer service team know about pets and ensure our staff can enter safely and do the cleaning work peacefully.
The safety of your home is our top priority. We have comprehensive liability insurance to cover any damage.
If, for any reason, you are not satisfied with the quality of our service, don’t hesitate to get in touch with our customer service by e-mail to info@washup.fi, or by calling us at 044 040 9449. If there are any shortcomings in the quality of the service, we will rectify them free of charge.
All our cleaning services are tax deductible, which means you get 35% of the cost of the cleaning back for tax purposes. The deduction is available every year after a deductible of €150. If you wish, we will send you an annual summary of your regular cleaning services, which you can use to claim the deduction. Alternatively, you can enter the services eligible for the household allowance on your tax card for the current year, in which case you will benefit from the allowance immediately.
We send invoices by email. For one-time cleaning shifts, the invoice is sent after the service has been delivered, at the latest at the beginning of the following month. For regular monthly cleaning services, invoices are sent at the end of each month. Payment terms for all invoices are 10 days.
It is also possible to order invoices as e-invoices for regular monthly services. Alternatively, invoices can be sent by post for an additional fee of 5 euros.

If a shift falls on a holiday, it is usually rescheduled for another day. Since the rate for services provided on holidays is double the average rate. So please don’t worry; we’ll contact you to find the best solution.
You will always be charged only for the hours we work. If the cleaning takes longer than estimated, we will contact you before proceeding.
If you hire a moving or window cleaning service, we will bring all the large cleaning equipment by car and therefore we will need a parking space for the duration of the cleaning. So if there is no free parking available, there will be an extra charge for that parking space. There are no other additional charges on the cleaning bill.
You don’t need to subscribe to our cleaning service; you can do that as long as you wish. However, please cancel your cleaning contract 3 days before the agreed date.
Of course! It’s easy to try it out, as the price is the same whether you order a one-off or regular ongoing cleaning.
Regular cleaning can be booked once a week, every two weeks, or every four weeks. Unfortunately, scheduling regular cleaning, for example, on the first Friday of every month, is impossible. When you make your reservation, we will send you a list of future cleaning dates, which you can quickly note down.
We provide all cleaning supplies and eco-friendly cleaning products. We will use your home’s vacuum cleaner, mop, and bucket.
We use professional cleaning products that are environmentally friendly and safe for families with children and pets. We have supplies for different cleaning needs and surface materials. Also, the products we use are fragrance-free.
Whatever is best for you! Of course, you can stay home if you wish, but you can also feel confident to go out on your own for the cleaning.
We reserve the same person who will know your home best for regular house cleaning. In case of illness and during the employee’s holidays, a substitute will do the job if it suits you. Yes, you can, especially if you can’t be at home and let the cleaner in; key handover is the best option.
You can give the key to your cleaner directly or deliver it to our office three working days before the cleaning date. We will also send you a written receipt for the keys.
Every home is different, and the number of cleaning hours will depend on many factors: the size of the house; the amount of furniture, carpets, and furnishings; the age and condition of the surface materials; and the frequency of cleaning you choose.
On our website, you will find a calculator that provides a maximum/average estimate of the time required for maintenance cleaning in homes of different sizes. Please note that the estimate given by the calculator is always only an estimate: the cleaning time may also be more or less than this. You can also always ask for a certain number of cleaning hours or only a certain number of cleaning tasks.
Remember that the first cleaning usually takes longer than the following ones.
